Questions

What is the difference between a purchase order and an invoice?

The buyer sends a purchase order to the supplier before the goods ship. The supplier sends an invoice to the buyer afterwards. Asking suppliers to quote your PO number on their invoice makes the two easy to match.

How should I number purchase orders?

Use a unique, sequential number, for example PO-2026-001. Keep a simple list of numbers you have issued so none is used twice.

Does the form add up the order total?

No. There are no scripts in the file, so fill in the line totals and the order total yourself.

Can I keep my own copy uneditable?

Yes. Run the filled PDF through Flatten PDF and the values become part of the page.
