The permission list is deliberately short, and the downloadable package contains readable source code.
No access to every website, downloads, cookies, browsing history, clipboard, camera, microphone or document contents. It does not run scripts inside pages. It makes no background network requests and sends no analytics events. Opening a PDFBEAR tool behaves like opening the same page from a bookmark.

This first release is distributed directly from PDFBEAR while store review is pending. Chromium browsers require Developer mode for an unpacked extension. A store release will replace this with normal one-click installation and automatic updates.
No. It has no permission to read local documents. When you choose a tool, it opens the normal PDFBEAR HTTPS page, where you deliberately select the file to upload.
The extension places the current public http or https URL into PDFBEAR's HTML-to-PDF tool. You review that URL and press Add before anything is processed. Private pages behind a login may not be accessible to the converter.
Direct-download builds do not silently replace themselves. Return to this page for new releases. Automatic updates will arrive with the browser-store versions.
