Questions
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
In everyday use a quote is usually a fixed price and an estimate an approximate one, but people use the words loosely. Whichever you call it, write in the Terms box whether the price is fixed or may change, and what would change it.
How long should my estimate be valid?
Many businesses use 14 to 30 days, and less when material prices move quickly. Put your date in the Valid until field so there is no argument later.
Can my customer sign it without printing?
Yes. Send them the PDF; they can type their name and add a signature with eSign PDF, then return it to you.
Can I turn an accepted estimate into an invoice?
Open our invoice template and copy the lines across. The columns (description, quantity, price, amount) are the same.
