PDFBEAR helps users work with PDFs online while keeping the important trust questions visible: how files are uploaded, when to use security tools, where privacy terms live, and how to contact support. For everyday questions about limits, formats and accounts, the PDF Tools FAQ has short answers.
How your file moves through PDFBEAR
- Upload: your file travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
- Processing: the tool runs automatically - no human reads your document.
- Download: you get the result right away, and it is saved to your file manager if you are signed in.
- Deletion: guest files and temporary previews are removed after 48 hours; free-account files are kept for 30 days after their last activity; Premium files are kept forever while you subscribe, and you can delete any saved file yourself at any time.

AI and OCR document review
OCR reads scanned documents automatically and is free within the stated plan limits. The current model is optimized for printed English and Chinese, including mixed pages. Relevant pages are sent to the OCR processor only for the requested recognition job; important names, dates and figures should be checked against the source image.
Premium generative AI tools are separate from OCR. They include Chat with PDF, Summarize PDF, Translate PDF and PDF Question Generator. Important AI answers should always be checked against the source PDF.
